About QIDN The Institute has up to €40,000 to distribute by way of individual grants each year.
In 2003 the Commissioners of Charitable Donations and Bequests for Ireland approved the Institute to provide funding for the following charitable objects:
- For charities providing services for palliative home care to the terminally ill.
- The instruction and/or training of nurses in such services for the provision of palliative home care to the terminally ill, and
- Generally to provide assistance to the sick and socially disadvantaged in their own homes.
The Council, after due consideration, awards grants. Applications are considered at quarterly Council Meetings and details of guidelines for funding can be found here.
The Council's decision is final. Responses will be given to all applications, however correspondence regarding unsuccessful applications will not be accepted.
